This Year’s Torah Fund Pin: P’ri Yadehah

2016-2017-torah-fund-pin
P’ri yadehah, which means the fruit of her hands, is a phrase from the beloved Eishet Chayil prayer, taken from the Book of Proverbs (31:31).

We celebrate women’s achievements and creativity with the 2017 Torah Fund pin/pendant, designed by Eytan Brandes.

Women’s League’s support of the Torah Fund Campaign helps strengthen Conservative/Masorti Judaism throughout the world and enhances the Jewish community by recognizing and appreciating our diverse families.

We are calling on YOU, our Beth Shalom Family. YOU have the opportunity to participate in preserving, promoting and perpetuating the Conservative/Masorti Judaism through active giving.Torah Fund is a VITAL SOURCE OF SUPPORT for the Jewish Theological Seminary (New York, NY), Zeigler School of Rabbinic Studies (Los Angeles, CA) and the Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies (Jerusalem).

Please contact Batya Bar-Av savtabarav@msn.com, Torah Fund Co-Chair, if you want to show your support for our Conservative Educational Institutions by making a donation to the Torah Fund Campaign. Make a donation in honor of…your mother, your daughter, your sister, your wife.

Women of Distinction

Every year the Jewish Federation sponsors an event for the Tampa Bay community which recognizes Women of Distinction in our area’s Jewish organizations. Our synagogue and our Sisterhood have chosen our own honorees for this year and they will be honored at the big event in March.

The Woman of Distinction for our synagogue this year is Caren Evans.

Our CBS Sisterhood is going to be represented this year by Cyndi Silverman .

We congratulate both women for this very special honor.
